Free Kidney Screening Nov. 14th In Lewes

Posted: Updated:

LEWES, Del. - One out of every nine Americans has or will develop chronic kidney disease, and most affected do not realize it until the condition has progressed.

Health officials recommend for everyone to get checked, and the National Kidney Foundation is providing an easy and free opportunity to do so.

On November 14th, the foundation is holding a screening at the Walgreen's on 17239 Five Points Square in Lewes from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

No appointments are needed for the screening and any adult can participate. It will last about 20 minutes, and the screening includes a blood test, as well as blood pressure and weight checks. For more information, call Nicole Scharf, nscharf@kidneymd.org, at 410-726-8732 or visit the National Kidney Foundation website
