SMYRNA, Del. - The Delaware State Fire Marshal's office says they are investigating an early morning fire that left a man in critical condition.

According to reports, the blaze, reported shortly after 4:30 AM, occurred in the unit block of Juniper Court in the Holly Hill Estates near State Route 13.  The Citizens Hose Company reportedly arrived on the scene with flames shooting from the house trailer.  Officials say one male resident was transported to Bayhealth's Kent General Hospital and admitted in critical condition.

State fire investigators are reportedly conducting the investigation into the fire's origin and cause.  No other injuries were reported.  Investigators say they were unable to locate any smoke alarms inside the dwelling.

Reports say heavy fire damage was estimated at $50,000.
