Main Street Gym To Host Casino Night Fundraiser

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md - Main Street Gym will be hosting a Casino Night-themed fundraiser on Saturday, October 26th.

As a non-profit organization, Main Street Gym is having this fundraiser because maintenance of the facility, especially during this time, can get costly.

"The gym does something good in the community so we've done some operating cap. It takes a lot to get through, especially in the winter. This is a good size building it cost a lot to heat it. Electric bill is not cheap so we're really trying to get something to get us through the winter. So if we can raise double digits that would be nice," says Hal Chernoff, Program Director of Main Street gym.

Activities in Casino Night include Poker, Black Jack, Craps as well as a live performance by Bone Daddy's.

"It means there's a place where kids can go. a lot of them are kids that get in trouble or just have problems focusing in school and there's a place where they can come and get into this program not for a week or 3 weeks or a month of a season but stay with the program for a long time," says Chernoff.

Tickets are $45 at the door and $35 in advance. For tickets, call 410-430-6687
