Ignite Salisbury To Spark Community Dialogue Nov. 14th

SALISBURY, Md. - Some Salisbury University Students are teaming up with city officials to spark a multi-faceted community conversation.

The event, called "Ignite Salisbury," will feature a diverse group of 16 speakers that will each having five minutes to speak on any topic they want.

"We're giving them this medium to talk about what they're doing, what their passions are, what their ideas are, whether they are big or small," says Renee Antkowiak, a student at Salisbury University.

"There will be a lot of talk about different topics that are happening in the community like community service and non-profit organizations," says Amanda Haller, a student at Salisbury University.

The goal is to spark positivity in the community, and create an on-going dialogue between young-professionals and older members of the community, that will hopefully continue long after the event is over.

The event will take place on November 14th at 6:00 PM in the downtown Salisbury Firehouse. Tickets are $5, and there will be free food and drinks.
