DE Troopers Investigate Attempted Robbery & Shooting In Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, Del. - Delaware State Police troopers say they are investigating an early morning attempted robbery and shooting in Magnolia, which has left one man in serious condition.

According to reports, the incident occurred at approximately 12:20 AM Sunday morning as the three victims were traveling in a vehicle in the area of Berg Alley and Lambert Drive. The vehicle was reportedly approached by two suspects who displayed handguns and demanded property and money. One of the suspects allegedly fired multiple shots at the vehicle with an unknown type handgun, striking the 21-year-old victim in the upper body. Troopers say the victims' fled the area in the vehicle, transporting the 21-year-old victim to a local hospital for treatment. The suspects reportedly fled the area in an unknown direction.

Troopers say the 21-year old-victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries and was admitted in serious condition. The two suspects are described as unknown black males dressed in dark clothing, both armed with unknown type handguns.
