Walk To End Alzheimer's, Bill's Story

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - The Walk to End Alzheimer's is about a week away. Throughout October, WMDT has featured people who have been impacted by the disease. This week, we spoke to Eastern Shore's Walk to End Alzheimer's Co-Chair of Salisbury, Bill Martin. It's his first year on the committee. Last year, he formed a team in honor of his mother. They were the 2nd highest fundraising team, raising over $8,000.00.

"We realize now that she had it for several years before she admitted it and she had actually been diagnosed but hid it. We'd pretend she couldn't hear because her hearing aids were no good, wasn't that she couldn't hear, she couldn't understand what people were saying to her," he shared.

The Walk to End Alzheimer's takes place October 26th, with registration starting at 9:00 AM.
