SOMERSET CO., Md. - A former Somerset County teacher has learned her fate after sleeping with a student. Courtney Stewart was sentenced to four years suspended and must now register as a tier two sex offender for the next 25 years.

As conditions of probation, she is required to have no contact with the victim, and as directed by the Division of Parole & Probation, to comply with the requirements of and pay any costs associated with specialized sexual offender supervision including offense-specific treatment, medication, polygraph testing, computer monitoring, and electronic tracking, and related curfew and/or geographic restrictions.

Stewart's offences stem from the incidents that occurred between January and February of this year. The victim was 15-years-old at the time.
