Salisbury Teen Arrested On Drugs And Weapons Charges

SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man is behind bars after allegedly running from Police. Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says they responded to West Road on Monday, around 6:40 PM, for a person being inside a Westover Drive home, without permission, using a controlled dangerous substance.

According to the report, the suspect, 18-year-old Devale Palmer started to run, as the Deputy got out of his vehicle. Police say the Deputy caught up with Palmer on Mohawk Avenue, where the two struggled, before Palmer was arrested.

During the arrest, the Deputy reportedly found a .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun, a baggie of marijuana, and crack cocaine packaged for apparent sale.

Palmer was charged with CDS possession with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a minor, CDS distribution while in possession of a firearm, 4th degree burglary, and resisting arrest. He is being held at the Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
