NEWARK, Del. (AP) - An 80-year-old woman is dead and three others are injured after a high-speed crash in Newark.
Police say the crash occurred Saturday evening when one car struck the rear of another at a high speed on Christina Parkway. Police say the driver of one car fled the scene on foot but was apprehended.
Police say one car was stopped at a traffic light when it was rear-ended by another car. The woman who was killed was in the rear seat of the car that was stopped.
Two other people who were in their 60s are being treated for injuries, along with the driver of the car that struck the stopped vehicle.
An investigation continues.
