DelDOT Announces Road Closures And Flooding

DELAWARE - DelDOT has announced road closures as well as flooding on some roads.

New Castle County:

  • Old Corbit Road east of Middletown, near Old State Road – closed due to flooding

Kent County:

  • Port Mahon Road, east of Dover, near Little Creek Wildlife Area – closed due to flooding
  • South Bowers Road, has water on the roadway at the dead end of the road.

Sussex County:

  • O'Neal's Road, south of Seaford, east of Gum Branch Road, but remains open, but water is on the road.
  • Prime Hook was opened at about 6:15 a.m. this morning after crews cleared flood debris from the roadway. Crews will remain stationed there to monitor water levels as they rise during the high tide, which is scheduled for about 1 p.m. today.

Officials say that Route 1, near the Indian River Inlet bridge, is open, all lanes, in both directions.
