EASTON, Md. - Matthew Mikowski, the boy accused of murdering Samuel Cross, will be tried as an adult.

According to Talbot County state's attorney Ellen Grunden, a judge denied a defense motion to move 17-year-old's trial to juvenile court on Tuesday.

An autopsy revealed that Samuel Cross was strangled to death on the night of June 9th. Police say Cross and some acquaintances were hanging out behind Mikowski's home in Saint Michael's. Investigators say they were reportedly using LSD.

Mikowski is charged with second degree murder, distributing LSD, reckless endangerment and second degree assault.
