RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Wednesday is the deadline for Virginians to submit written comments to a legislative panel on Medicaid expansion.
The Medicaid Innovation and Reform Commission is receiving comments until 5 p.m. The panel also has scheduled a public hearing for 1 p.m. Oct. 15 at the General Assembly Building in Richmond.
The General Assembly established the commission earlier this year to monitor implementation of Medicaid reforms sought by Virginia as a condition for expanding the program to an additional 400,000 uninsured low-income residents under the federal health care reform law.
Comments can be submitted at http://mirc.virginia.gov/mircapp/commentform.aspx .
