Former DE Treasurer May See Refund After Investigation

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, Del. - Delaware's former Deputy State Treasurer Erika Benner may be set for a refund.

After a months-long investigation into suspected misuse of a state issued credit card, Benner was ordered to pay back more than $2,300 dollars in charges. According to a report by State Treasurer Chip Flowers, she was also ordered to pay back thousands in additional charges, until it was determined those specific charges were legitimate.

Other state treasury officials support that claim. She's paid back more than $6,000 in total.
