Milford Police Arrest Milford Woman For Child Abuse

MILFORD, Del. - The Milford Police Criminal Division says they arrested and charged a 28-year-old Milford woman stemming from an incident that occurred on October 2nd.

According to reports, at a residence in the 100 block of NW 4th street in Milford, Malene Fleurentus was charged with Child Abuse Third Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Detectives say they discovered that a five-year-old female victim was in the care of Fleurentus at the time of the incident. Fleurentus reportedly physically disciplined the five-year-old female victim for misbehaving but left highly visible injuries to her face. Police say they were notified when the victim arrived at school, within the Milford School District, and school staff observed the injuries. Fleurentus was reportedly arraigned and released on $1,000 unsecured bond.
