GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - State transportation officials say they are closing a median crossover in Sussex County that has been the scene of several accidents in recent years.
Officials said Friday that they have decided to close the crossover at the intersection of U.S. Route 113 and Kruger Road/Woods Branch Road near Georgetown.
Earlier this week, a tractor-trailer driver was killed in an accident just south of the crossover.
Signs alerting motorists of the Oct. 16 median closure were being posted Friday.
Motorists wanting to get from Route 113 onto either Kruger Road or Woods Branch Road will now have to travel to the next crossover and make a U-turn, then turn right. Drivers on Kruger or Woods Branch roads wanting to turn left onto or cross Route 113 will have to do likewise.
