Three Charged With Weapons Charges In Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. - Three men were arrested on weapons charges during a traffic stop in Wicomico County.

Salisbury Police say they on Wednesday around 1:30 PM, they were called to Classy Cats Barber Shop on Ohio Avenue, for a reported man with a gun. An investigation reportedly showed that a few people inside the shop got into an argument, and one pulled out a gun. Police say the subjects left the store before they arrived.

Officers were reportedly able to catch up with the vehicle on Lake Street, and stopped it on Booth Street. According to the report, during the stop, two people fled from the vehicle on foot, and arrested the three remaining occupants, 23-year-old Tyrell Moss and 29-year-old Jermaine Moss of Salisbury, and 63-year-old Nathaniel Moss Jr., of Eden.

Officers say they smelled marijuana during the stop, and a search of the vehicle revealed a handgun, along with oxycodone, and $7,000 in cash. The gun was reportedly stolen during a burglary on June 25th. Police also note that all three men were prohibited from possession a firearm because of prior criminal convictions.

All three men were charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by prohibited person,, and wear/carry handgun in vehicle. Tyrell Moss was additionally charged with possession of marijuana and possession of oxycodone. All three were released to the custody of Central Booking.

The investigation is reportedly on-going at this time.
