DELAWARE - Due to the government shutdown, hunters in Delaware may have to change their plans.
The Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife says that hunting access through DNREC to Bombay Hook and Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuges will be suspended until the shutdown is lifted.
Hunters will not be able to access these federal lands until the shutdown is resolved, but Delaware State owned wildlife areas are not affected.
Hunters should know that Prime Hook State blinds are being issued on a first come, first served basis, and access to Federal lands are prohibited. Also closed is a section of the Little Creek Wildlife Area's Davey Crockett Tract.
