CAMBRIDGE, Md. - A wanted Cambridge man is now behind bars, after Police say they found stolen weapons during a traffic stop.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says on Tuesday, they stopped a vehicle on Stone Boundary Road near Bucktown Road, driven by 46-year-old Troy Wongus Sr. During the stop, the Deputy discovered that Wongus was wanted out of Dorchester County District Court, so he was arrested.

The Deputy then searched Wongus' vehicle, during which a loaded handgun, and a loaded shotgun were found. Police say both guns were reportedly stolen from a Cambridge home earlier this summer.

Wongus was charged with failure to appear, wearing, carrying, and transporting a handgun, possession of a firearm after being convicted of a felony, possession of a regulated firearm, possession of a shotgun after being convicted of a felony, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and 5 motor vehicle charges. He is being held on $250,000 bond.
