MARYDEL, Md. - Maryland State Police Easton Barrack say they are investigating a fatal crash that happened around 8:57 AM on September 29th.

According to reports, troopers were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at 17702 Henderson Road in Marydel. Troopers say preliminary investigation revealed that Ramon Bamaca, 51, of Marydel, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Metro north on Rt. 311 at a high rate of speed.

Bamaca reportedly lost control of the vehicle and skidded across the center line and off the roadway, striking a tree located at 17702 Henderson Road. A 15-year-old rear passenger, also from Marydel, was allegedly ejected from the vehicle and was transported to Kent General Hospital with life threatening injuries.

The driver, Bamaca, was reportedly transported to Kent General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased, and the right front passenger, from Henderson, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Troopers say the road was closed for approximately 2 and a half hours while the accident scene was reconstructed, and the investigation is continuing.
