OCEAN CITY, Md. - A big thank you to service station and automobile repair shop owners from Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot. Due to the state of the economy, he says some of these men and women are hanging onto their businesses by a single thread.
Franchot says that the private sector is under appreciated by state leaders, which is causing many to move elsewhere. Franchot tells WMDT, "I'm down here to give them a thank you, for their resilience, being able to survive the recession, and offer them any support I can as tremendous members of our Maryland community."
He added that the best way to fix the problem is take on a more friendly business approach.
