Fire In Bridgeville Causes $80,000 In Damages

BRIDGEVILLE, Md. - An early morning fire in Bridgeville is under investigation.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office says the blaze started just after 4:15 AM on Friday, in a building on the 7000 block of Seashore Highway. Fire companies from Bridgeville, Blades, Georgetown, Greenwood, and Seaford all were on scene to help extinguish the flames.

Officials say that no one was inside at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. Damages are estimated at $80,000. The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
