WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A 12-year-old and a 17-year-old are recovering after being shot in Wilmington.
Police say the shooting happened Wednesday at about 7:40 p.m. in the area of West Second and North Franklin Streets. Police say officers responding to a 911 call found the two victims in separate houses in the area. The 17-year-old man had a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The 12-year-old girl had a gunshot wound to the rear.
Police say the victims are unrelated and it is unclear if the victims were the intended targets of the shooting. They were both in the area of West Second and North Franklin Streets when they were struck.
Both victims are in stable condition at a hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
