SALISBURY, Md. - With discussion from the Senate looming after the House voted to de-fund Obamacare, one interest group is heading to the Shore to discuss the future of Medicare and Social Security.
AARP is holding two meetings on Wednesday, with the first at Dough Roller Restaurant on 41st Street in Ocean City from 9 AM to 11:30 AM.
The second will be at the MAC Center in Salisbury starting at 1 PM, where AARP says they will "explain how residents can get involved with preserving Social Security and Medicare in your area."
Last year, according to AARP, elderly Marylanders who were enrolled in Medicare, spent 13 percent of their income on out of pocket health care costs.
