DE State Police Arrest Georgetown Man in Harbeson Farm Theft

HARBESON, Del. - Delaware State Police say they have arrested a Georgetown man in connection with a farm equipment theft that occurred in the Harbeson area.

According to reports, numerous tips through media outlets and Crime Stoppers assisted with the identification and arrest of Robert Storms Jr. Detectives say they arrested Storms in the afternoon of September 20th and processed him on two counts of burglary third degree, Possession of Burglar Tools, two counts of Theft under $1,500 and victim over 62, Criminal Mischief, and two counts of Criminal Trespass third degree. He was reportedly arraigned at JP2 and released on $10,700.00 unsecured bond.

Sometime in the early morning hours of August 30th and September 10th, police say Storms drove a vehicle through a bean field in the 20000 block of Beaver Dam Road near Harbeson and removed batteries from a tractor and forklift used in the operation of the farm.  Storms allegedly also cut a lock off a gas pump and removed approximately 15 gallons of gasoline.
