Former Princess Anne Police Chief Russell Pecoraro Has Passed Away

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The former police chief of a local department has passed away.

Princess Anne Police Department released a statement on Tuesday saying "It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that the Princess Anne Police Department announces the passing of former Chief Russell Pecoraro."

Chief Pecoraro started as Chief of the Police Department in 1998, until retiring in 2007. He had a hand in many town traditions including the Farmer's Market, Hot Dogs in the Park, and was the lead visionary in the renovations of the historic "Grey Eagle".

62-year-old Pecoraro died of heart failure on Tuesday.
