MD State Fire Marshal's Office Investigating Caroline Co. Fire

CAROLINE CO., Md. - The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says they are investigating a fire that occurred early Saturday morning in Caroline County.

According to reports, at around 4:59 AM at the intersection of Woodyard Road and Hechts Road in Henderson, a 2004 Volkswagon passenger vehicle went up in flames. Six firefighters from the Marydel Fire Department reportedly responded to the scene and controlled the fire within five minutes. Officials are estimating $4,000 in damage and believe the fire was set on purpose. There were reportedly no injuries in the incident.
