DELMARVA - The 13th Annual "Delmarva Bike Week" kicked off in Salisbury and the new Rommel Harley-Davidson Delmarva locations on September 11th.
For the first time ever, the event is joining forces with "Ocean City Bike Week," which starts September 12th. The event team spent the first day making last minute preparations for the big crowds to come in. Officials say overall, they expect over 200,000 people to come check out the excitement.
"There's a massive amount of vendors and we have an incredible amount of entertainment out here, live bands basically all day every day, and stands with pretty much any kind of product the industry has," says Kerry Mendenhall, event coordinator of Delmarva Bike Week.
Cliff Sutherland, another event coordinator, says he expects between Salisbury and Ocean City alone to generate $30 million. He says because many people are traveling on motorcycles, and not a car with a packed trunk, most people have to pay for everything they consume.
