UPDATE: Water Rescue Underway In Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - On Wednesday police say two swimmers jumped off of the Senator Malkus Jr. Bridge into the Choptank River near Cambridge.

The incident was reported around 5PM. Authorities say both of the swimmers are 18-years-old. One of the swimmers surfaced and was taken to the hospital. Their current condition is still unknown at this time.

Officials tell WMDT that the body of the second swimmer has been recovered from the Choptank River. There is no ID on the victim, pending notification to next of kin.
