OCEAN CITY, Md. - The annual 9/11 motorcycle ride and memorial service was held Wednesday morning. Hundreds came out to see the bikes glide down the boardwalk, to honor the fallen and the heroes of that tragic day. Active firefighters, bikers, and everyday citizens gathered to commemorate those who gave their lives during the 9/11 attacks.
Those who participated in the ride tell WMDT they look forward to this event every year.
Bob Davis, a USMC Veteran, says, "We come up here every year, and take that ride on the boardwalk and we enjoy it." Event goer Jackie Kearny says, "Motorcyclists support all of those who serce our country and support those who are fallen."
The procession of motorcycles traveled from twenty seventh street down to the fire fighter's memorial on North Division street.
