Second Antares Liftoff Days Away

WALLOPS ISLAND, Va - Antares is expected to be launched for a second time next Tuesday on the 17th.

"Right now it's expected to roll into the pad at 12:30 AM on Friday coming up. We're looking at a launch on 11:16 AM on September 17th with a 15-minute launch window," says Keith Koehler, News Chief of NASA Wallops.

Koehler also said the first launch was really a test of the rocket itself. This time, they will be resting the cargo carrier.

"It's real important for NASA to be able to have this capability for us to have these cargos supplies whether they be for food and normal things that we need, or science instrumentation," says Koehler.

Should the launch be successful, NASA says they could have another lift-off again in December.
