MILLSBORO, Del. - Delaware State Police say they are investigating crash involving two motorcycles in the area of Route 20 and Godwin School Road near Millsboro.

According to reports, the collision occurred around 5:05 PM on Thursday night. Police say both a 2007 Harley-Davidson, driven by 61-year-old Stanley Grella of Bethany Beach, and a 2008 Harley-Davidson, driven by 75-year-old Gerald Townsend of Ocean View, were traveling Eastbound on Hardscrabble Road.

Reports say the bikers were in a staggered formation with Grella closest to the center line. Police say he began to turn right onto Godwin School Road but Townsend didn't realize the turn was being made.  That's when Police say their motorcycles collided, ejecting both riders from their bikes.

Authorities say Grella was not wearing a helmet and he had to be flown to Christiana Medical center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police say he was cited for no proof of insurance.

According to reports, Townsend was also without a helmet. He was transported to Beebe Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. Police say he was cited for inattentive driving.
