Orange Line, A Bike Lane That Connects A Community

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Thursday, the City of Salisbury unveiled it's new "Orange Line" bike lane.

The 1.4 mile route links Salisbury University to downtown Salisbury, all in an effort to make the city more bike friendly, but why the hubbub over a bike lane?

Salisbury Council President Jake Day says it's more about what the route represents, saying "it's a symbol, when you have a system like that, everything becomes more accessible, and hopefully you get people out more.  People out of their cars, out of their homes, and more involved in the life of the city."

This is apparently, just the beginning of what will be a larger circuit of bike routes throughout the city.
