WICOMOCO/WORCESTER CO., Md. - Well there's no such thing as a free lunch, but what about free vitamins? Apple Discount Drugs says so. This is the second year that the local pharmacy is offering the free vitamin program for students in Wicomico and Worcester Counties.
Here's how it works - parents register and are then given a key tag that will allow them to take home their free 30-day supply of children's chewable vitamins. They can pick up a free bottle every thirty days, no strings attached. "What we are trying to do is build the immune system. Usually in the fall and winter is when we see more of the cough and colds.
"When children don't miss days of school, parents don't miss days of work," says Jeff Sherr, Apple Discount Drugs. Parents can enroll their children at the locations in Fruitland, Salisbury and Berlin or Snow Hill Pharmacy. For more, click here.
