NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have identified a motorcyclist killed in a crash in Newark.
Police announced Tuesday said 58-year-old Richard Correll Jr. of Newark was riding eastbound on Capitol Trail when a Ford Escape pulled out of driveway in front of him. Correll braked, laid the motorcycle down on its side and fell off in the left lane. Police say a Jeep Cherokee and another vehicle hit Correll and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
The collision reconstruction unit is continuing its investigation, and no charges have been filed.
Police say the second vehicle that hit Correll left the scene. They are asking anyone with information about that vehicle to contact police.
