Woman Arrested On Fraud Related Charges In Easton

EASTON, Md. - Easton Police say a North Carolina woman was arrested on fraud related charges on Monday.

Police say 48-year-old Kimberly Upright solicited a donation to the Maryland Sheriff's Association from a Ruby Tuesdays over the phone and when she came to collect, she demanded more money.

According to reports, the management at the restaurant become suspicious and called Police.

After Upright was taken into custody, authorities discovered she had nothing to do with the Maryland Sheriffs Association. An investigation also revealed that Upright had scammed in a similar manner down in Florida.

Upright is being held on $15,000 dollars bond.
