KENT CO., Del. - Kent County Commissioners are preparing to discuss potential options for dog control services.
Their contract with Safe Haven ends September 30. So they're now looking at two different options - to sign a contract with the Kent County SPCA, or to establish their very own dog control unit. They'll discuss these options at the next Levy Court Committee Meeting next Tuesday, September 3, at 7 p.m.
As for Safe Haven, although they'll lose their largest source of income, board members tell WMDT they are planning to remain open.
