Hurlock Teen Charged In Gun Dorchester Co. Gun Theft

DORCHESTER CO., Md. - A Hurlock teenager has been charged, after Police say he stole six firearms.

The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office says on August 18th, someone went into a storehouse on Eldorado Road, and took 3 guns, 2 rifles, and 1 shotgun, from a storage safe. An investigation lead to the arrest of 18-year-old Kwontavious Sargent.

He was charged with 2nd degree burglary, 4th degree burglary, theft under $1,000, 2 counts of theft over $1,000 but under $10,000, and theft scheme over $1,000 but under $10,000. Sargent is being held on $30,000 bond.

Police say they were able to recover the weapons, and return them to their owner.
