Information Sought In Rehoboth Reported Assault And Abduction

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Police are looking into an alleged abduction and assault at reportedly happened on Friday morning in Rehoboth.

Delaware State Police say around 1:35 AM, a 20-year-old Rehoboth woman, was walking her bike on Munchy Branch Road, when she was suddenly assaulted and forced into a vehicle by a black male, which then headed towards Coastal Highway.

According to the report, when the vehicle got to the intersection of Munchy Branch Road and Coastal Highway, the victim was able to get out, run to a nearby business, and contact Police. She was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
