WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A Superior Court judge is holding a plea hearing for one of three people charged with first-degree murder in the robbery and killing of a 7-Eleven store employee in Newark last year.
The plea hearing was set for Friday for Vanisha Carson of New Castle.
Carson was charged along with Andre D. Palmer of Fairburn, Ga., and Vincent Stallings of Wilmington in the September 2012 killing of 48-year-old Mohammed Rafique Ullah.
Investigators linked the killing to a robbery just hours earlier at the Interstate 95 service plaza in Newark. A description of a vehicle in the service center robbery led investigators to an apartment next to the 7-Eleven, where Palmer and Carson were arrested.
All three suspects were charged with first-degree murder, although investigators said Stallings fired the fatal shot.
