WILMINGTON, Del. - Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling a two-alarm blaze at a light center in downtown Wilmington.
The fire at Gross' Lighting Center was reported about 11:40 a.m. Thursday. Smoke blanketed part of the city.
Nearly 70 firefighters and emergency personnel responded to the blaze, which was brought under control about 2 p.m.
Officials say two firefighters suffered minor injuries and were taken to Wilmington Hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Wilmington officials say Gross' Lighting Center was condemned in June 2012 because of numerous building code violations.
