SALISBURY, Md. - Crews are currently working to repair a collapsed sewer main, in Salisbury.
The City of Salisbury Public Works says that around 12:00 PM on Wednesday, a small sinkhole near East Locust Street and Patterson Avenue, behind the Pepsi Cola Plant, lead to the discovery of the collapsed eight inch sewer pipe at a manhole.
They are working to repair the damage. Repairs are expected to take six hours, and during that time, Franklin Avenue and Hastings Street will be closed at East Locust Street, but open through Vine Street.
Officials are asking residents living in that area to conserve water until the repairs are finished. Everything is expected to be wrapped up by 7 PM on Wednesday evening.
