NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash with a car near the New Castle County Airport.
Police say the motorcycle was traveling northbound on DuPont Highway in New Castle as a car pulled onto the road from NuCar Connection. The motorcycle veered into the media and the motorcyclist, 30-year-old Chad Brooks of New Castle was thrown into southbound lanes.
Both Brooks, who was wearing a helmet, and the driver of the car, 58-year-old Edward Woodring of Newark, were taken to Christiana Hospital Trauma Center. Police say Brooks was in critical condition and Woodring's injuries were not considered life threatening.
The crash is under investigation. No charges have been filed.
