NEWARK, Del. (AP) - University of Delaware police say shots were fired on campus after a dispute on a basketball court.
University police Chief Patrick Ogden says two men began arguing during a game on Monday night at the university's Laird campus and the dispute turned into a fistfight.
Ogden says after the fight broke up, one of the men got a gun from his car, returned to the court and fired several rounds at the man he was fighting with. He says the other man's car was hit at least twice. The gunman and several other men fled in a silver sedan.
Students aren't expected to move onto campus until Friday.
