SMYRNA, Del. - The Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit and the Delaware State Police Governor's Task Force say they completed a drug investigation with the arrest of a Smyrna man on Friday.

According to reports, Tykeme Robinson, 21, was stopped by troopers in the area of US 13 Northbound and Smyrna Leipsic Road, where he was taken into custody without incident. Robinson was reportedly linked to an investigation of dealing heroin in the Smyrna area. Troopers say they obtained and executed a search warrant at a room at the Relax Inn Smyrna, where they located 62 bags of heroin totaling 1.24 grams, a digital scale utilized to weigh drugs, and a .45 caliber semiautomatic handgun loaded with four rounds of ammunition that was reportedly stolen from the Norfolk Police Department in May 2013. Troopers also reportedly searched a storage unit located in Smyrna, revealing four additional firearms including a .22 caliber semiautomatic handgun with one round of ammunition, .22 caliber revolver, .22 caliber rifle, and a 12 gauge sawed off shotgun with pistol grip which is considered a destructive weapon.

Tykeme Robinson allegedly received numerous charges, including possession of a firearm by person prohibited and possession with intent to deliver heroin, and was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $147,000 cash bond. Troopers say they are continuing to investigate this case.
