DEWEY BEACH, Del. - A contractor is offering a reward, after their equipment was apparently tampered with earlier in the month.
Diamond Hill, Inc. is the contractor working on the beach restoration project on the Bay at Van Dyke Avenue in Dewey Beach. They say their equipment that is used to move, sift, and purify sand, was made inoperable somewhere between August 7th and 9th.
They are offering a $3,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for apparently illegally trespassing and tampering with their equipment. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dewey Beach Police Department at 302-227-1110.
