WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington police have identified a woman who was stabbed to death in her home as the mother of a former city councilman.
Police say 83-year-old Wilda Hutt was found dead in her North Jackson Street apartment early Thursday.
Police have charged Hutt's daughter, 57-year-old April Hutt, with first-degree murder. Investigators say the two were arguing when April Hutt struck her mother with a frying pan and stabbed her repeatedly with a kitchen knife.
Wilda Hutt was the mother of former city councilman Gary Hutt.
