Two Arrested On Drug Charges In Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Del. - Two people are facing drug charges, after Police reportedly found drugs during a traffic stop in Georgetown.

The Delaware State Police Governor's Task Force and Drug Task Force, say they got word of heroin behind sold and purchased by 31-year-old Betsy Lecates, in the Georgetown area. DSP Detectives, along with assistance from Georgetown Police, found Lecates driving near East Redden Road and US113, where she reportedly committed a traffic violation.

Police stopped her, and say when she was getting her documents, they noticed bags of heroin in her purse. According to the report, police searched the vehicle and found 11 bags of heroin, totaling .22 grams.

Lecates was arrested, and further investigation lead Police to Lecate's boyfriend's house on East Redden Road. Inside the home, Police say they found 12 bags of heroin, totaling .24 grams, and 31-year-old Brian Spencer.

Spencer was also arrested, and both were charged with possession of heroin, and 2 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Spencer was additionally charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, and 2nd degree conspiracy. Both were release on bond.
