LAUREL, Del. - A motorcycle crash in Laurel, that left a Millsboro man dead, is under investigation.

Delaware State Police say around 9:00 PM on Monday night, Robert Dorman III, was riding his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle on Shiloh Church Road, when he stopped to turn left. According to the report, Dorman was waiting for a vehicle going to other direction to pass, in order to turn into Scott Land Road, when a 17-year-old Laurel girl drove up behind Dorman and failed to see him waiting to turn, and hitting him from behind at full speed.

Police say the motorcycle became lodged in the engine compartment of the teenager's Honda Accord, and remained upright, while Dorman was forced back, into the windshield. Police say Dorman wasn't wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen, was wearing her seat belt, and was not hurt in the crash.

The DSP Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this incident. They reportedly don't believe drugs or alcohol to be factors in the collision. The intersection of Shiloh Church Road and Scott Land Road was closed for around three hours while officials investigated and cleared the scene.
