New Study Shows Many Of Salisbury's Employees Are Underpaid

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - A new study shows that many of Salisbury's employees are underpaid.

The city's officials paid Evergreen Solutions LLC to conduct the Classification and Compensation study back in February, which included employee interviews, a salary survey, and a benefits survey. The report shows that almost 80 percent of Salisbury's employees earn less than the midpoint of their respective pay ranges, and that pay should be raised an average of 8.5 percent, to ensure quality workers can be hired and retained. The August 5th council meeting was canceled, but members tell us they plan to discuss the study at their next meeting.
