DE State Police Investigate Parking Lot Stabbing In Claymont

CLAYMONT, Del. - Delaware State Police say they are investigating a stabbing that occurred early Saturday morning in the parking lot of the Tri-State Mall in Claymont, which left a Newark man in serious condition.

According to reports, at about 2:15 AM, a 27-year-old man and a group of friends were leaving the Simba Grill located inside of the Tri-State Mall, when the victim walked to an unknown location of the parking lot. He reportedly returned a few minutes later suffering from multiple stab wounds and was transported to a local hospital by friends for treatment. Police say he was admitted in serious condition with multiple stab wounds to the upper body, and there is no suspect description available at this time.
